Twin-axle clockwork-excavator. Light-blue. Chassis and roof are black, the small boom is light blue and the clam yellowish. Battery compartment for 1 x 1,5 Volt mono cell - accessible from underneath the red base tin. Contrary to the large 750 clockwork excavator this version can only lift the clam by power - and just drop it by disconnecting the motor shaft from the chain barrel - left lever in UP position. MIDDLE position of the lever lets the "crew" have a break - and LOW position connects the rubber coated motor shaft to the chain barrel again, closes an electrical contact and lifts the clam. Levers are known to have either red or yellow plastic caps - the lid for the battery compartment was either red or blank. Right lever on the cabin's rear side opens and closes the clam. This version of excavator appears as 1750 E in the 1959 and 1960 price lists and a "Specials" catalogue 1960 - and was announced as "same finish as article No. 745, but with electrical motor...". I don't have any further information. At this time the 745 was always shown as the multi-coloured excavator! Interesting! Was the electrical excavator available in other colors as well?
